Allergy Information

Students with Food Allergies and/or Glycogen Storage Disease

The district strongly encourages parents/guardians of children with a life-threatening food allergy to notify the school of the allergy, providing as much information about the extent and nature of the food allergy as is known, as well as any known effective treatment for the allergy. The district also strongly encourages parents/guardians of children with a glycogen storage disease to notify the school of the disease, providing as much information about the extent and nature of the glycogen storage disease as is known, as well as any known effective treatment for the glycogen storage disease. Substitutions to the regular meal, in compliance with the USDA Child Nutrition Division guidelines, will be made for students who are unable to eat school meals because of their special dietary needs, when that need is established as part of the student’s Individual Health Care Plan (IHCP).
